The RX-V385 was designed with a strong focus on achieving exceptionally high clarity sound. It employs a discrete amp configuration and a low-jitter PLL circuit, which contributes to its excellent audio performance.

Bluetooth® with Music Enhancer

Thanks to its built-in Bluetooth functionality, this AV receiver lets you enjoy easy wireless music playback from smartphones and other devices. The Compressed Music Enhancer from Yamaha is now optimised for Bluetooth audio transmissions to ensure that your music will have vivid, dynamic sound quality during wireless playback.

Providing complete compatibility with the latest HDMI standards, this AV receiver delivers transmission of 4K video at 60 frames/second pass-through. It also supports HDR (high dynamic range) Video including Dolby Vision™ and Hybrid Log-Gamma which provides incredible contrast, smooth tone and rich, bright colours—giving you full, high-definition enjoyment with an exceptionally realistic and natural picture quality.

The RX-V385 features bi-amping capability, driving the treble and bass ranges of the front speakers (L, R) with independent amplifiers. In addition to providing greater power, it also prevents interference between the high and low sounds, further improving the sound of the front speakers.

On-screen Display

This system features a high-precision font, letting you view detailed information of your music contents, and has multi-lingual capability for viewing in English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Italian, or Chinese.

No worries, no confusion. Use this special app and get expert assistance with cable connections between the AV receiver and source devices. It even guides you through various other settings such as speaker connections, TV and source device connections and power amplifier assignments.

Eco Mode

We all want speakers which complement our home or environment, but often this means having small, ‘thin’ sounding speakers which look good, but simply don’t deliver the best sound. Unlike many style speakers which use low quality spring clips or custom cabling, Minx offers universal connection to any home cinema receiver or amplifier with an ingenious speaker terminal design, which can be removed to support banana plugs.

* Using a high powered amplifier lower down its volume scale results in lower distortion and better sound. Of course if you hear a distorted sound or mechanical ‘crack’ as the speakers hit their end stops, you are playing the speakers too loud and this may cause damage. With an AVR the Min12/22 speakers should be set to ‘small’ with a crossover frequency of 140Hz. In this configuration, power handling is considerable increased.

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO MINX X201

 

At just 20cm (9″) square, X201 is one of the world’s smallest subwoofers and is incredibly easy to accommodate. And like all Minx subwoofers, it features a range of simple controls to allow placement almost anywhere.

 

DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSOR

 

Our software engineers have designed a sophisticated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to provide real-time control of equalisation and dynamic range processing for the maximum possible performance while preventing drivers overloading or distorting. This allows the Minx subwoofers to handle more power and play louder than ever!

 

DISCRETE YET THUNDEROUS

 

Both of the subwoofers use an innovative driver plus an ABR(Auxiliary Bass Radiator) system rather than having either an enclosed box (which would require even more powe) or a ported design (which would require a bigger cabinet). The result is two extremely efficient and very powerful subwoofers housed in tiny cabinets, their slender size deceives the eye.

 

BESPOKE TO SUIT ANY ROOM

 

The Minx subwoofers offer complete rear panel control of ‘gain’, ‘phase’ and ‘crossover frequency’, unlike many other style subwoofers which give little or no adjustment in these areas. With these true hi-fi capabilities, regardless of your room’s shape and size Minx’s simple set-up adjustments ensure your system is perfectly customised for placement almost anywhere.
