Custom Car System

Old school classic vehicles whether it was a complete rebuild or just restoring it, these sorts of projects come in all shapes and sizes.

This particular 1954 Ford F100 Ute speaks for itself. The car belonged to one of our long term loyal customers who was already aware of the quality and precision that we provided with all our builds. The initial enquiry for this vehicle was treated with the highest regard from the moment the customer stepped into our store, assisting with the design process the customer had brought the vehicle in as well, This gave our team the advantage of picking out the products and working out where the individual components would fit. After having a listen in the sound room the customer had decided on JL Audio C2-600 component Speakers and a JL audio 10tw3d4 10 inch subwoofer to compliment the bottom end. To match the quality this setup was going to produce an Alpine XA-90V 5 channel  amplifier was chosen to power the components.

Previously the customer had stated that he did not want a head unit in the vehicle (not even a sneaky hidden one), With that in mind the only option was to add a JL Audio MBTRX Bluetooth module directly wired into the amp allowing our customer to seamlessly play his music from his phone or another bluetooth enabled device.

Once the build began the team designed some custom 6.5 inch speaker pods to house the JL C2-600 speakers.  Fitting them up, keeping it as discreet as possible keeping in mind that this was a classic which really was never designed to have. Next step was to incorporate the slim line sub in behind the seats. To control the sub output we connected an Alpine RUX Knob Sub controller. The enclosure was built out of 18mm thick MDF, Our customer was all about keeping this job as clean as possible so his battery was relocated into the cabin behind the seats so we custom built an enclosure to house the battery right beside the subwoofer enclosure. In the process we upgraded the battery to a Optima red top high output drycell.

keeping everything concealed in the boxes we built we wrapped it in black carpet to match the interior making sure it felt like that nothing was added there from the beginning. Upon completion our team spent time looking over the vehicle making sure everything was hidden away keeping that stock look. to anyone looking in the system disappears behind the bench seat and no one but the customer knew any better.
