Audio System Upgrade
The 1969 Volkswagen Kombi is a classic car but the factory sound system needs improvement.
We custom made the door trims to replicate the styling of the 60’s. In the doors we mounted the 6.5″ bass woofer and 3″ mid woofer from a set of Focal Flax 3-way components. The tweeters were fitted to the top of the dash next to the A-pillar.
A Digital Designs 6″ sub woofer in enclosure was the perfect size to fit under the seat of this Kombi. We installed a Hertz 5 channel D-class amplifier, mounted under the seats to power the system.
When the customer came to collect their classic beauty, they were blown away with the workmanship carried out and the performance of the system. The stereo in this Kombi is as cool as the car it is installed in.
