Moke

Moke

Audio System Upgrade

When you think of a Moke the first thing you think of is no roof (or doors), suns out, cruising the beach with friends. This is definitely NOT the car you would associate with a blaring sound system correct?

Well in the case of this MOKE you would be proved wrong 100 times over. Despite its small size this was one BIG job, virtually no part of this Moke was left untouched by our team adding our flare to this car.

The entire dash has been custom made, re-shaping it entirely to hold a new head unit, gauge cluster, control panel and switches but also speakers! Along with this the whole car was basically re-wired to add a multitude of features and monitoring. Every component in this build is from Alpine electronics. The head unit is the monster 9″ “Halo” controlling the system.

Under the seats are 2x PDX amplifiers controlling the speakers and subwoofers (that’s right, there’s two!). The speakers up front are Type-R components whilst the rear is a pair of Type-R 6×9 coaxials in a custom box under the rear seat.

Onto those subwoofers, you may be thinking where are they? Well 2x Type-R 12″ subwoofers live in a custom made enclosure behind the rear seat which turn that back seat into a mobile massage chair.

In addition the sound system we also fitted all new headlights, mini light bars to the front and rear nudge bars and a giant light bar to the top of the windshield (roll cage).

It’s safe to say that you will definitely see and hear this Moke coming from a long way out so be sure to keep a look out as it’ll be cruising the beachfront in not time.
