Klipsch Reference Premiere Floorstanding Speakers produce cinematic sound from Cerametallic™ woofers and a Hybrid Tractrix®Horn. They can fill your room with theater-quality sound with minimal effort – immersing you in the ultimate listening experience. Floorstanding speakers provide deeper bass than smaller speakers, giving you the ability to enjoy a wider range of music even before you add a subwoofer. There’s no better place to start, regardless of whether you’re only looking for great stereo music or are on your way to building a surround system. The Reference Premiere R-820F floorstanding speaker is the largest in the Reference Premiere family, producing cinematic sound from two 8″ Spun-Copper IMG Woofers and a 90×90 Tractrix® Horn. It can fill a larger room with theatre-quality sound with minimal effort – immersing you in the ultimate listening experience.

NEW HORN AND GRILLE

Klipsch redesigned the Tractrix® horn from a 60×90 horn to a 90×90 horn for a wider dispersion area. This square horn mouth is paired with a circular horn throat for enhanced soundstaging, while maintaining the dynamic, powerful sound of a Klipsch speaker. Strong, flexible grilles magnetically detach revealing a clean baffle. Unlike the Reference II series, the magnets have been embedded within the baffle for superior high frequency diffraction reduction. A brushed polymer veneer adds more modern aesthetic for the Reference Premiere series. The clean, seamless lines of these speakers allow them to be incorporated into any decor.

TECHNOLOGY

TRACTRIX® HORN TECHNOLOGY

Klipsch exclusive 90×90º Tractrix® horn technology ensures the R-820F high frequency energy is aimed at the listener and reduces artificial reverb or filtering caused by indirect sound bouncing off of walls. Using this proprietary focused technology gives you the best clarity, dynamics, and detail from your movies and music.

LINEAR TRAVEL SUSPENSION TWEETER

WITH KAPTON® SUSPENSION

Using Kapton®, an extremely light and rigid material, in the tweeter suspension provides high efficiency and improve resolution and detail. LTS tweeters are a hallmark of Klipsch speakers, making them some of the best speakers in the world.

SPUN COPPER IMG WOOFERS

Injection Molded Graphite (IMG) woofer cones are exceptionally light while being extremely rigid – providing remarkable low frequency response, with minimal cone breakup and distortion. When paired with the Tractrix Horn-Loaded LTS Tweeter, it provides speaker efficiency highest in its class.

REAR TRACTRIX® PORT

The rear Tractrix port is perfectly matched to the cabinet and woofers, creating ideal airflow with minimal distortion or turbulence even at the lowest frequencies.

SLEEK DESIGN

Exposed fasteners, angled feet, low profile magnetic grilles and a scratch-resistant, textured wood grain vinyl give the R-820F floorstanding speaker a polished, modern appearance.

HIGH QUALITY CABINET DESIGN

Reinforced MDF construction reduces cabinet vibration for less audible coloration and improved sonic accuracy – giving you the ultimate listening experience that’s built to last.
