Leaf Audio Convertor

The Leaf Audio Convertor (LAC) has three primary functions:

1. A digital to analogue converter for converting a Digital Coax or Optical (Toslink) input to a Stereo RCA output. 
2. An analogue to digital converter for converting Stereo RCA inputs to an S/PDIF output.
3. A digital to digital converter for converting Toslink to Digital Coax (S/PDIF).

The last function is often used in conjunction with Leaf’s LTB1(E) Breakout allowing you to send audio back to a Leaf Matrix and then to a multi-room audio system which is useful when you want your Smart TV, in-room media player or gaming system’s audio to be played over ceiling speakers. 

The LAC’s power input also allows the ability to be daisy-chained and can be used with Leaf breakout while only using 1 power supply. The various functions of the LAC are selected by a set of DIP switches accessible from the lower surface of the metal housing, and needs to be set before use.
